Alianis Lozada is a mezzo-soprano from Humacao, Puerto Rico, who earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico in May 2023. Since completing her studies, she has continued to develop her career through performances with opera companies and young artist programs across the United States.

In 2026, Lozada returned to Opera Modesto to perform the role of Rosina in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia. In 2025, she performed the title role of Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel with Opera Modesto. In 2024, she joined the Sarasota Opera Apprentice Artist Program, where she performed Alisa in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and participated in the choruses of Carmen and Luisa Miller.

Her professional experience also includes Portland Opera to Go, where she portrayed Tisbe in Rossini’s La Cenerentola and participated in educational and outreach programs. As a Summer Studio Artist with The Florentine Opera Company, she performed scenes as Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni.

While studying at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, Lozada performed roles including Véronique in a Spanish-language production of Bizet’s Dr. Milagro and Mrs. Nolan in Menotti’s The Medium. She also portrayed La Ciesca in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi through the Canto Vocal Program.

In 2022, Lozada received an Encouragement Award from the Puerto Rico District of the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Her repertoire and professional experience demonstrate her versatility as a mezzo-soprano, and she continues to expand her artistic career through performances and opportunities in the United States and internationally.
